This is where it all began, hundreds and hundreds years ago, in a galaxy far...no wait, that´s a different story. Once upon a time, there was this guy, lets call him Čech (Czech), who happened to have two brothers, Lech and Rus, and they all lived somewhere in the area of current Croatia. These brothers went hunting one day and each of them saw a different prey which they followed. The prey must have been something big and worthy, because they followed it all the way to the Czech lands, Polish lands and Russian lands. When Čech claimed the mountain we call today Říp, he looked around and decided he will settle in such a wonderful land. And therefore the name of our country is "Czech". What a lovely legend, isn't it? I bet you already know what your task is. That´s right, climb up the mountain Říp and take a selfie in front of the Rotunda of Saint George, which is one of the oldest buildings in the Czech Republic (no, it is not Čech´s house, it is not that old!).

If you would like to visit the Rotunda of Saint George, the entrance fee for the guided tour for students is 60CZK and 80CZ for adults above 26 years, not guided tour is for 10CZK for students and 20CZK for adults. The Rotunda is open from March 25th and you can find the opening hours on this page.
